1. No account, no personal data required
Tanglz games have no sign-up or login and never ask for your name or e-mail. Your nickname, skin, language, control and sound settings and a randomly generated anonymous identifier are stored only in your browser’s local storage. A small cookie remembers the language you picked so every Tanglz page opens in it.
2. Game server logs
To run the service and prevent abuse, the game servers log gameplay events (connect, play start, death, respawn, revive, ad slot shown) together with the anonymous identifier, an experiment group and the connecting IP address. IP addresses are used only for abuse prevention and service statistics and are not shared with third parties.
3. First-party visitor statistics (no third-party analytics)
We do not use external analytics services such as Google Analytics. A small beacon sends statistics to our own servers only, without cookies.
- Collected: pages viewed, referrer domain and UTM parameters, browser and page language, screen size, device / OS / browser type, country (country code provided by Cloudflare), time on page, game events (play start/end, death, revive, ad shown)
- Identifiers: a random visitor id in local storage and a per-tab session id. The raw IP address is never stored for statistics; only a hash with a secret that changes daily is used to count unique visitors (it cannot link the same person across days)
- Retention: stored as daily aggregates and never used to identify an individual
4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
Tanglz shows ads through Google AdSense (and Google AdMob in future apps). Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve, measure and personalize ads. Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent banner; before consent, or if declined, only non-personalized ads are requested. 5. Children
Tanglz is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (under 14 in Korea).
6. Security and infrastructure
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS) and delivered through Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses and country codes in transit.
